ben bulcock Wonderful stuff. I adore this dirty sound. This dark disco energy is what made me fall in love with Mechanical Cabaret. Favorite track: Siegessäule.

about

Originally self-released as a mini-album on CDR in 2001, in a very limited edition of 100, this is a collection of demo recordings, some of which would eventually find their way onto the 1st Mechanical Cabaret album 'We Have An Agenda' in 2002. Other songs have since appeared elsewhere, in some form or other.

I was not yet using hard disc based recording at this stage, and was still only recording onto a 4-track tape machine, sequencing the electronics and samples via MIDI and an Atari 1040ST computer. Other items of equipment used were an EMU Emax II, Chase Bit 99 digital/analogue polysynth, Korg 800DV analogue duophonic synth, JHS SD1 analogue drum synth, Akai XR10 drum machine, and a Boss DR550 drum machine.
